A Cognitive & Positive Psychology Approach Toward Improving Well-Being

Often times people start therapy seeking ways to decrease anxiety and depression. Sometimes they would like to learn better ways to manage stress resulting from major life changes, even good changes. The goal of treatment is to get anxiety, depression and stress levels closer to zero.

At the same time it’s equally important to move away from zero in regard to improving well-being. Improving well-being involves increasing positive emotions on a daily basis, feeling more connected to the people and the world around you, having healthy relationships, and experiencing a sense of accomplishment. Gaining an awareness into thinking patterns and learning better ways to manage thoughts is key to decreasing anxiety, depression and stress levels. Taking active steps toward improving your well-being is key to feeling more fulfilled.
